In 2001 The Herby’s Twist Griderball was created by Evan Ruz. It was the world's first magnetic grinder and it's assembly and magnetic feature of the grinder was revolutionary at this time. Eventually this invention lead into the creation of the Grindarolla.
Herby's Twist award winning assembly and magnetic feature of the original Herby’s Twist Grinderball™ has become the backbone of grinder technology as we know it today.
- 2001, grinder assembly was re-engineered consisting of two grinder plates and two shells, herby's Twist Grinderballs began
- 2002, magnets for Grinderballs were added to keep the two halves together, any magnetized grinder shape could now be created
- 2005, push button rising plate was created for easy cleaning
- Herby's Twist Grindarolla conceived in 2002, released in 2013ish
Evan Ruz’s contributions helped move the industry out of the dark ages, from the plain ‘ol hockey puck style grinder to attractive, functional devices.
